What does "Born again" mean?

Nicodemus, a powerful Jewish religious leader (who we find later did believe and accept Jesus (Yeshua) as the promised Messiah) came secretly to speak with Jesus (Yeshua) one night . . .

     "Jesus answered and said to him,

      ‘Most assuredly, I say to you,

       UNLESS one is born again,

       he CANNOT see the Kingdom of God.’

       Nicodemus said to Him,

      ‘How can a man be born when he is old?

       Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?’

       Jesus answered, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you,

       UNLESS one is born of water AND the Spirit,

       he CANNOT enter the Kingdom of God (Heaven).

       That which is born of the flesh is flesh,

       and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.’"

We had no choice concerning our first birth ("of the flesh"), but to be born again of the Spirit and into the Kingdom of Heaven requires a conscious choice and decision on our part.  The Bible says if we believe, sincerely and in faith, that Jesus ("the Son of God") lovingly and willingly shed His blood and died on the Cross for us (as God's "sacrificial Lamb" which takes away all our sins "once and for all"), was buried, then rose again the third day (through the awesome power of God), and sincerely (and lovingly) accept Him as our Lord, invite Him into our lives, and turn back to God (and turn away from our sinful ways), then we are "born again" (and are called "a new creation").  This time, we are born of the Spirit and are told we will be "indwelt" by the Holy Spirit (which we can't see but the evidence is reflected in how our lives begin to change).  This is God’s Word and His Promise.  Then, even while facing the difficult tests and trials we will find in our earthly lives, we can rest knowing our eternal destiny is assured ... and since we now have the hope and promise of eternal life through our "second birth" (in Heaven) we no longer have to fear the "second death" (in Hell).      (God's Promise ...)

Whatever fleeting "satisfaction" or feeling of "coolness" might be felt from following along with whatever a sinful generation might think is "right in their own eyes" at any given time is temporary and will last for only a short moment ... whereas the absolute darkness, aloneness, and torment of Hell waiting for all who ignore, refuse to listen, and willfully disobey God's Law and mock God's Word will be permanent and never-ending ... it's your choice ... but please remember, the Bible warns all who choose to reject and ignore God's Word will be rejected by God and cast into Hell where "there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth"... Soviet KGB officer Anatoliy Golitsyn (who escaped to the West) disclosed the Russian KGB was an active force behind the Labor Union movement.  We've been deceived (duped) ... the same Socialist (aka "Leftist"-"Marxist"-"Communist") doctrine which portrays Biblical "Christianity" as an enemy and legislates "state-enforced" Atheism (which is a religion), and forces young children into state-run (political and sexual) indoctrination programs ... is now destroying our economy by having both the Government and Unions "dictate" who businesses and "public service" agencies hire (or fire) ... and "dictate" the pay and benefits employers must offer ... thus, forcing both businesses and "public service" agencies to pay higher-than-high wages, provide more-than-more days off, and redirect sorely needed funds into larger-than-large pensions ... which destroys the ability of a business (and democratic government) to survive, to grow, and to hire (and keep) more employees ... and will ultimately wipe out the middle-class (the back-bone of a free nation) and topple a once thriving economy.

Golitysn warned the Socialist (Soviet) objective was to destroy our free (from State and Union control) "Capitalist" (Willing To Take Risks + Hard Work) based economy, because free-economies flourish while Socialist (State-run ) economies only create poverty and bondage (and have you ever noticed that while Socialist-Communists aggressively nurture and promote Union power in free economies, they allow NO UNIONS to wield any meaningful power in their Socialist-Communist controlled economies and nations) ...

Yet, because our nation (who God has blessed with "freedom" and "prosperity") has arrogantly turned its back away from God and God's Word, God will continue to judge this nation (through our "economy" and national "security") unless we "repent" (turn back to God and His Word) ...

But, the real problem lies in our "lukewarm" churches who no longer fear God or even take God's Word seriously.  "Lukewarm" churches will destroy more than they will save ... without the fear of God there is no understanding of how desperately every man, woman, boy, and girl in the world needs a Savior (to save us from our sins and from Hell) ... and without that we will never throw ourselves down at the feet of the One who bore all of our sins and guilt upon Himself, and who willingly and lovingly offers to exchange His perfect righteousness for our unrighteousness, and now waits with outstretched arms waiting for the broken and the broken-hearted to come to Him filled with sincere love, faith, and trust.    (The ASSURANCE of life in Heaven  ... it's NOT too late!!!)
