From the ancient Roman-Jewish historian Josephus - 'Magog-Scythia' . . .
A major source of ancient Jewish-Roman history is Josephus Flavius, a Jewish-Roman historian (who was befriended by the Roman general Titus Vespasian) wrote of the Roman wars. Josephus wrote a first-hand account of the Roman-Jewish War as he witnessed the terrible Roman siege on Jerusalem in 70 A.D. (this was when the Romans also tore down the Jewish Temple stone by stone exactly as Jesus-Yeshua had prophesied 38 years before it happened.)
Josephus identified 'Magog' in his ancient writings and explains ...
"Magog founded the Magogians, thus named after him, but who were by the Greeks called 'Scythians.'" (Josephus, Antiquities, 1.123 ... 1st century A.D.)
So, in his ancient histories, Josephus explains "Magog" in Hebrew was called "Scythia" in Greek (which was still the prevalent language of the day ... the books of the New Testament were being distributed at that time in Greek so the common people could understand.)

Scythia (Magog in Hebrew) comprised an area in Eurasia inhabited in ancient times by Iranian nomadic peoples, speaking Iranian languages and known as the Scythians or Scyths. The location and extent of Scythia varied over time, from the Altay Mountains region where Mongolia, China, Russia, and Kazakhstan come together, across southern Ukraine to the lower Danube river area, Bulgaria and Georgia. The Chinese knew the Saka (Asian Scythians) as Sai. The Scythians first appear in Assyrian annals as Ishkuzai, reported as pouring in from the north some time around 700 BC and settling in Ascania and modern Azerbaijan as far as to the southeast of Lake Urmia. Archaeological remains of the Scythians include elaborate tombs containing gold, silk, horses and human sacrifices. Mummification techniques and permafrost have aided in the relative preservation of some remains.

Scythia (Magog in Hebrew), ancient region of Eurasia, extending from the Danube river on the west to the borders of China on the east. The Scythians flourished from the 8th to the 4th century BC. They spoke an Indo-Iranian language but had no system of writing. They were nomadic conquerors and skilled horsemen. They seem to be related to the Saka, another nomadic tribe that roamed the steppes of central Asia at about the same time. The so-called Royal Scyths established a kingdom in the eastern Crimea before the 9th century BC. They seem to have maintained themselves as a ruling class while others (probably native inhabitants) worked the grain fields. The Scythians are traditionally associated with the area between the Danube and the Don, but modern excavations in the Altai Mts., particularly at the site of Pazyryk, suggest that their origins were in western Siberia before they moved east into southern Russia in the early 1st millennium BC. Scythian power was maintained in the 8th century BC in obscure warfare with the Cimmerians. The Scythians, considered barbarians by the Greeks, traded (7th century BC) grain and their service as mercenaries for Greek wine and luxury items. They invaded (7th century BC) upper Mesopotamia and Syria. They threatened Judah but never actually occupied Palestine. They also made incursions into the Balkan Peninsula, and a century later the mysterious campaign of Darius I against them (c.512 BC) may have checked their expansion, although it was no conquest. They destroyed (c.325 BC) an expedition sent against them by Alexander the Great. After 300 BC they were driven out of the Balkans by the invading Celts. In southern Russia they were displaced (2nd or 1st century BC) by the related Sarmatians.

It will be interesting to watch over the next few days and weeks as Iran (Persia), Russia (Magog), and Gomer (France and Germany) will all have soldiers and/or sailors camped (or hidden like the Iranian Revolutionary Guards deployed with the Iranian-Hizbullah) along the northern border of Israel in Lebanon ... even though the numbers are now small, never before in the history of the world has this strange mix of armies and navies been deployed together along Israel's border.

"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God"
Do not be deceived. (By television, movies, or those churches who "no longer endure sound doctrine)
Neither fornicators, (sexually immoral)
nor adulterers,
nor homosexuals,
nor sodomites,
nor thieves, ...
will inherit the Kingdom of God.
(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
And here, the Bible warns those who just approve of those who do these things will be held just as guilty ...
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men . . .
For even their women exchanged the natural use
for what is against nature [lesbianism].
Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman,
burning in their lust for one another,
men with men committing what is shameful [homosexuality] . . .
that those who practice these things are worthy of death [Hell],
and not only those who do the same
but also those who approve of those who practice them!"

God clearly warns all those who simply "tolerate" or "approve of " these things with their great "open-mindedness" will be held just as accountable in the day of judgment as those who actually do them. This applies to churches and church leaders as well. If you are in a church or have a church leader who "approves of" and supports this activity, for your own sakes, please leave and find a church with a teacher who simply believes and teaches the Bible ...
Who loves the homosexual more? The Christian (a follower of Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel) is commanded to 'love others and treat them as we would want to be treated.' According to the Bible, a person living in homosexual sin "will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven" and those who "approve of those who do such things" will be held just as guilty. Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah's first command was to 'repent' (turn away from those things which are in opposition to God's Law) and then to trust in Him alone to save us from all our sins. He said He came to 'save sinners' ... lots of them ... both Jew and Gentile ... any who would believe and trust in Him. The Bible warns until we acknowledge we are sinners and that we desperately need a Savior (to save us from our sins ... past, present, and future) we won't be saved from Hell. So, who loves the homosexual more? One who tells them it's okay to continue in a sin the Bible warns will condemn them to an eternity in Hell, or someone who is willing to endure the anger, ridicule, and hate to warn them and to try to get them into Heaven as a neighbor? In Proverbs 27:6 God says, 'Faithful are the wounds of a friend ... but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.' Jesus-Yeshua said more about Hell than He did about Heaven ... and the true believing Christian will try to get as many boys, girls, men, and women into the Kingdom of Heaven as possible. If a Christian truly hated the homosexual (or anyone willfully sinning against God's law) they would simply keep silent and let them suffer in the eternal darkness, loneliness, and torment of Hell after they die. Yet, all believing Christians have had to come face-to-face with the fact we are all sinners and desperately need a 'Savior' to save us from our sins and from Hell. Jesus-Yeshua, the Messiah, commands us to 'love our enemies' ... and you can't love someone without warning them when they are in great and grave danger ...
