     when He predicted the sufferings of Messiah (Christ)     (PROPHECIES of MESSIAH ...  from the ancient Jewish Prophets and Scriptures)

     AND the subsequent glories.       (PROPHECIES of MESSIAH'S RETURN)

     It was revealed to them (the prophets) that they were serving not themselves but you,

     in the things that have NOW been announced to you

     through those who preached the good news to you

     BY the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven,

     things into which ANGELS long to look.    (Even the angels are yearning for God's Plan to unfold through Messiah ...)

     Therefore, preparing your minds for action, 

     and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the Grace    ("Grace" is getting something we don't deserve)

     that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ (Messiah).

     As obedient children,

     do NOT be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,

     but as He who called you is Holy,   ("Holy" means "separated from" the sins and things that defile this world ...)

     you also be holy in ALL your conduct, since it is written,

   “You shall be holy, for I am Holy.”

     And IF you call on Him as Father       

     who judges impartially according to each one's deeds,

     conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,     

     knowing that you were RANSOMED ("redeemed")

     from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers,

     NOT with perishable things such as silver or gold,

     BUT with the precious blood of Messiah (Christ),

     like that of a Lamb without blemish or spot.

     He was foreknown before the foundation of the world       (See Psalm 2 ... and John 1)

     but was made manifest in the last times

     for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God,

     who raised Him from the dead and gave Him Glory,

     so that YOUR faith and hope are in God.

     Having purified your souls BY your obedience to the truth     (God's Promise ...)

     for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,

     since you have been born again,       (Jesus warns we must be "born again" to enter Heaven ... see John 3:1-3)

     not of perishable seed but of imperishable,

     through the living and abiding Word of God; for

   “All flesh is like grass
     and all its glory like the flower of grass.
     The grass withers,
     and the flower falls,
     but the Word of the Lord remains forever.”

     and make him their watchman,

     his blood shall be upon his own head.

     He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning;

     The weak you have not strengthened,

God says HE HIMSELF will be the Shepherd of His sheep who will "seek the lost" ...

     -  What causes quarrels and fights among you?  You desire what you don't have ... you covet what you can't obtain

     -  You do not have, because you do not ask.

     -  You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

     -  Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?     (Desiring to be "cool" will cause many to fall)

     -  Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.    

     -  The Scripture says, “He (God) yearns jealously over the spirit that He has made to dwell in us”

     -  God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble ... submit yourselves therefore to God

EZEKIEL 40 ... God shows Ezekiel the coming Temple (still future) ... providing specific details and dimensions.

Note:  In Bible prophecy we are told there will be TWO new Temples built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem ... the first new Temple will be built around the time of the Antichrist (a counterfeit-Messiah ... Revelation 11:2 ... 2 Thessalonians 2:4) and the final Temple (Ezekiel 40-48) when Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) returns.

1 PETER 5 (excerpts and notes) ...

   -  The "elders" of the church are to labor willingly, and "not for shameful gain," but "eagerly" ...

     "not domineering over those in your charge," and "being examples to the flock until the "Chief Shepherd" appears"

   -  We are to "humble" ourselves (for "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble")

   -  We are cast ALL of our anxieties (and worries) upon Him ..."because He cares for you"

   -  We must resist our "adversary" the Devil who is prowling and "seeking someone to devour" ... stand firm in faith  

   -  We are told to remember the same kinds of sufferings we are going through

      are being experienced by our brethren (in Messiah) throughout the World.

We are also told to remember ...

   "AFTER you have suffered a little while,    

     the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ (Messiah),

     will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you."    (Finding Hope and Comfort in Times of Trouble ...)    (God's Promise ...)
