Bible prophecies concerning the coming "Rapture"...

The Bible warns of a coming day when all who are found waiting in faith for Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew), will be removed from the Earth "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye" . . . 

     "Behold, I tell you a mystery:  (something that had not yet been revealed)

       We shall not all sleep,   (die a natural bodily death)

        but we shall all be changed

        in a MOMENT,

        in the twinkling of an eye"

       (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)     

    "For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout,

       with the voice of an archangel,

       and with the Trumpet of God.

       And the dead in Messiah (Christ) will rise first.

       Then we who are alive and remain

       shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds    (Caught up in Greek is "harpazo"..."to seize, pluck away, or take by force")

       to meet the Lord in the air.

       And thus we shall always be with the Lord."

What is this strange, bizarre, mysterious, Bible prophecy all about?

It might help to understand WHY God feels it will be important to remove this remnant (or 'body') of believers from the Earth in such a decisive and startling way.  We find the Rapture is somewhat analogous to a loving Bridegroom yanking His young wife ('betrothed') off the railroad tracks just as the train goes thundering by ...  (Prophecies of the coming "Apocalypse" and Armageddon)

The actual word "rapture" is not found in most Bibles.  The original Greek word "harpazo" which was translated "caught up" in many English translations (see above) could have been, or should have been translated, "to seize, to pluck away, or to take by force."  The original Greek word "harpazo" was later translated in the Latin as "raeptius" or in some cases "rapturo".  So, the term "rapture" comes from the Latin translation.

     For since BY man (Adam) came DEATH,

     by Man (Jesus ... Yeshua) also came the Resurrection of the dead.   (Eternal life in His awesome Kingdom of Heaven)

     For as in Adam ALL die,

     even so in Messiah (Christ) ALL shall be made alive.  

     But each one in his own order:

     Christ the firstfruits,  (Jesus was resurrected on the "Feast of Firstfruits"..."First day after the Sabbath after Passover")

     afterward those who are Christ's at His coming.      (Prophecies:  The coming "Rapture"... Jew and Gentile ... please don't be "left behind")

     Then comes the end,      (Prophecies of the coming 'Apocalypse' and Armageddon)  

     when He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father,

     when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.  

     For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.      (Prophecies of Messiah's Return ...) 

     The last ENEMY that will be destroyed IS DEATH."   ("Death" is an enemy which came from MAN's disobedience ...)

Many don't realize God’s loving offer (see below) contains both a "BLESSING” and a "CURSE”. . .

   "For God so loved the world

     that He GAVE His only begotten Son,

     that whoever BELIEVES (trusts) in Him      (to trust in Jesus alone to save us from our sins and from Hell)

     should NOT perish (in Hell)

     but have everlasting life (in Heaven).

     For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,

     but that the world through Him might be saved (into Heaven).

     He who believes in Him is not condemned (to Hell ... the "second" death);

     but he who does NOT believe    (in Jesus Christ to save them from their sins and from Hell)

     IS condemned (to Hell) ALREADY"     (The consequence of sin without the "antidote" offered through Christ Jesus.)

     (John 3:16-18)   (Jesus greatly LOVED us to save us from Hell ... all God asks is we love Him for all He has done for us.)

The terrible "Great White Throne" Judgment is for all who die without trusting in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior ...

   "Then I saw a Great White Throne and Him who sat on it,

     from whose face the Earth and the Heaven fled away.

     And there was found no place for them.  

     And I saw the dead, small and great,

     standing before God,

     and books were opened.

     And another book was opened,

     which is the Book of Life.

     And the dead were judged according to their works,

     by the things which were written in the books.  

     The sea gave up the dead who were in it,

     and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them.

     And they were judged, each one according to his works.  (You never want to be judged for your "works" under God's Law)

     Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.

     This is the SECOND death.   (The "death" we ARE to fear ... Hell ... the eternal darkness, aloneness, and torment of Hell)

     And anyone not found written in the Book of Life

     was cast into the Lake of Fire."  (Also called "the outer darkness"... the eternal darkness, aloneness, and torment of Hell)

   "The Son of Man (Jesus) will send out His angels,

     and they will gather out of His Kingdom

Bible prophecies concerning the coming "Rapture"...

      "Seek the LORD,

       all you meek of the Earth,   (“meek” is the antonym or opposite of “revenge”)

       Who have upheld His justice.

       Seek righteousness,

       in the day of the LORD'S anger."

When will the Rapture take place?

We do not know, and we are told that no man will ever know the day or the hour.  However, there doesn’t appear to be anything left in prophecy that needs to be fulfilled before the Rapture can take place, so, it could easily happen any day . . .

The LORD says it could happen at any moment, "in the twinkling of an eye."  He says it will happen at a time when the world will least expect it.  We are told we should always be prepared by simply believing in Him and waiting for Him in faith.  We are also taught we should help prepare and warn others . . .  (God's Promise ...)

This account in the Bible was also given to us as a "foreshadowing" of the coming Messiah ... who would also be turned over by His brethren (to be imprisoned and killed) because of envy and hate ... yet, He also knew that although they meant it for "evil"... God meant it for "good"... so many people (both Jew and Gentile) could be "saved" (into Heaven) by having their sins forgiven through faith and trusting in Him ... by sincerely trusting in His death as the "sacrificial Lamb of God" who died for our sins "once and for all"... and by sincerely trusting in His life because God powerfully resurrected Him from the dead ... and He now lives as our "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" lovingly interceding for us as our "High Priest" and "Savior" (who saves us from our sins and from the aloneness, darkness, and torment of Hell) while seated on His throne at the right hand of God ...

 "Jesus (Yeshua) said to him,

   "I am the Way,

     the Truth,

     and the Life.

     No one comes to the Father      (into Heaven ... or in prayer)

     except through Me."

And remember, Joseph lived around 430 years before Moses led the children of Israel out of Egypt.  The Bible is the most accurate and detailed history book (both past and future) ever written.  The Bible tells of us "things that were, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this (are yet future)"... Revelation 1:19.

     NOT of works,   (we cannot enter Heaven through any “good deeds” we have done ... or think we have done.)

     lest ANYONE should boast."   (We are told it’s a gift from God … we just have to thankfully (and lovingly) receive it.)

     (Ephesians 2:8)    

For the ASSURANCE of Life in Heaven (and of having ALL of your sin and guilt completely removed) . . . A.C.T. NOW!!! 

-  Acknowledge you are a sinner ... and have sinned against God's Law

-  Confess your sins to God

-  Trust (believe) completely in Jesus Christ  (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) ...

     -  He (lovingly and willingly) died for all of your sins on the Cross ... and His innocent blood washes away ALL our sins

     -  He was buried ... 

     -  He was raised (Resurrected) from the dead the third day ... and now waits to see if you are "with" Him or "against" Him

-  Turn back to God ... and turn away from sinful activities ("repent") ... He will welcome you with tears of joy.

If you do these things … sincerely and in faith … the Bible promises you can have the complete assurance of eternal life in Heaven.  The Bible tells us Jesus (Yeshua) did all the work for you when He bore all of your sins and died on the Cross ... and was buried ... and was raised (resurrected) from the dead (as "firstfruits" of the coming Resurrection) through the awesome power of God.  The Bible says you can’t add anything to it!!!  When you believe and trust in (and love) Jesus Christ as your "Savior" (who lovingly saves you from your sins and from Hell) ... and then turn away from your sinful ways and turn back to God ("repent"), you can have the complete peace and assurance in your heart that when you die, you will enter into His Kingdom of Heaven ... forever and ever … it’s God’s Promise!!! 

The only thing God asks a NON-believer to do is to "believe"... Jesus (God) did ALL the work ... life in Heaven is OFFERED as a GIFT!!!
