Jesus warns those who trust in THEMSELVES to get into Heaven ...
"He (Jesus) also told this parable to some
who trusted in themselves
that they were righteous,
and treated others with contempt:
“Two men went up into the Temple to pray,
one a Pharisee (a religious ruler)
and the other a tax collector (a despised segment of society).
The Pharisee,
standing by himself,
prayed thus:
‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men,
extortioners, unjust, adulterers,
or even like this tax collector.
I fast twice a week;
I give tithes of all that I get.’
But the tax collector,
standing far off,
would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven,
but beat his breast, saying,
‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
I tell you,
this man (the one who realized he was a sinner ... and needed to be saved into Heaven)
went down to his house justified, (his sins forgiven ... and the Bible warns we're ALL sinners!)
rather than the other. (The one who didn't think he needed a "Savior"... thinking his "goodness" would outweigh any sin)
For everyone who exalts HIMSELF
will be humbled, (brought very low ... down into the darkness, torment, and loneliness of Hell)
but the one who HUMBLES himself

THE TIME draws near ... the Bible warns Iran (Persia), with Russia ('Magog'), and a coalition of allies (including Turkey and Sudan) will attack and will invade Israel. In Ezekiel 38-39 the Bible warns this coming war between Iran (Persia) and Israel will take place sometime after Israel has been re-gathered into Her land as a nation (which was fulfilled on May 14, 1948) ... this prophetic war has never yet taken place ... the only time in history Persia (Iran) has ever gone to war against Israel was to help Israel throw off the yoke of the Byzantine Empire around 614 AD.
THE BIBLE warns the US will NOT defend Israel. According to the Bible, Israel must stand alone ... with God. For when this coming war does finally start, the United States (for reasons yet unknown) will be unable or unwilling to help Israel defend herself. Although the Bible warns the invading armies will be ultimately destroyed by God, it will be a devastating war for both Israel and the whole world. Bible scholars are divided as to whether this coming war is part of the prophetic battle of Armageddon or will just precede the battle of Armageddon in order to prepare the path for the coming Antichrist (a coming 'world leader' who will enforce a 'peace plan' upon Israel).
ALL PEOPLE of the world should be sitting on the edge of their seats with white knuckles watching this terrible prophecy slowly start to unfold ... while those who call themselves Christians (followers ... both Jew and Gentile ... of Jesus (Yeshua), the promised Messiah) are told to "examine" themselves in the Word and in faith to insure they are not just 'almost' Christians (Matthew 7:21-23) who are "lukewarm" in their faith in Jesus (Yeshua) and God's Word (Revelation 3:14-16) ... for Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah warns all to, "Watch, therefore, and pray always (not just sometimes), that you will be counted worthy (through His worthiness) to escape all these things (the terrible events of the coming 'Apocalypse') that will come to pass" ... (Luke 21:36) ... for the Bible promises believing Christians (faithful and sincere believers in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) who are alive at that time and have endured in their faith in God's Word are not "appointed" to this coming time of "God's wrath" that will be "poured out" upon the whole world ... In Ezekiel (written a thousand years after Sodom and Gomorrah were judged and destroyed) God explains why ... (and remember, to God "a thousand years is as one day"... Psalm 90:4 ... 2 Peter 3:8). God warns open homosexuality is a visual symptom of a people (or nation, or world) who are filled with "arrogance" and sinful "pride" ("Nobody ... not even God ... is going to tell me what to do!") ...
"This was the sin (iniquity) of your sister Sodom:
She (Sodom) and her daughter (Gomorrah) had pride, ("God is not going to tell me what to do!")
fullness of food,
and abundance of idleness; (sounds a lot like our generation)
neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy,
and they were arrogant (haughty) ... ("I don't care what God says in the Bible!"... "I'll do what feels right to me!")
Therefore, I (God) took them away as I saw fit." (He destroyed ('cleansed') them with fire ...)
(Ezekiel 16:49)
In these verses, God links open homosexuality in a society to sinful "pride" and "arrogance"... the sin of Satan. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed ('cleansed' with fire) because they were filled with pride and arrogance while flaunting their sexual immorality and their homosexuality openly before God. They mocked God and they had no fear of God. They were also found guilty of having "fullness of food" without acknowledging God who provided it, and having "an abundance of idleness" in the land (basically they ate, drank, watched TV, and allowed their "Gay Pride" parades) ... the people had become so de-sensitized to sin they even stood by as their homosexuals tried to 'gang-rape' the two men/angels God sent to warn Lot ... while their worthless 'reverends', priests, rabbis, and ministers (just like Satan in the Garden) were seductively assuring the people in the pews that God's Word and God's Law did NOT really mean what it said and did NOT really apply to them and they could continue to do whatever felt good or right "in their own eyes," even when in direct disobedience to God's Word and God's Law ...
All of this reflected their lack of belief and their arrogant and rebellious attitudes toward God and His Word. Sin meant nothing to them ... and there was no fear of God. Would these charges convict any people or nation(s) you know today? God's judgment against Sodom was was given as a warning! The Bible warns the coming "Apocalypse" will be like the judgment against Sodom (only much worse), and this time it will be global!
Our time is short. God is pleading with us to stop (repent of) our sinful ways and return to Him before it's too late. With open arms and with tears of joy He will welcome any and all who willingly return to Him through the One He sent forth to save us from our sins (and from Hell) ... Jesus (Yeshua) ... the promised Messiah. - He (lovingly and willingly) died for all of your sins on the Cross ... and His innocent blood washes away ALL our sins
- He was buried ...
- He was raised (Resurrected) from the dead the third day ... and now waits to see if you are "with" Him or "against" Him
- Turn back to God ... and turn away from sinful activities ("repent") ... He will welcome you with tears of joy.
When you believe and trust in (and love) Jesus Christ as your "Savior" (who lovingly saves you from your sins and from Hell) ... and then turn away from your sinful ways and turn back to God ("repent"), you can have the complete peace and assurance in your heart that when you die, you will enter into His Kingdom of Heaven ... forever and ever … it’s God’s Promise!!!
The ONLY thing God asks a NON-believer to do is to "believe"... Jesus (God) did ALL the work ... life in Heaven is offered as a GIFT!!!
