Bible Prophecy

"Gaza!!"

A terrible warning:  'Gaza Will Be Forsaken' . . .

The Bible links GAZA to the coming "Apocalypse." Several years ago the world watched as all the Jews in Gaza were forcibly removed from their homes and their land ... even those buried in cemeteries were forcibly dug up from their graves and removed from Gaza. This 'uprooting' of the Jews from Gaza which the whole world watched on the news may be a much more 'significant' prophetic event than most realize ...

In the book of Zephaniah, God warns Gaza would one day be ‘forsaken' (yes, that same Gaza you have recently been watching on the world news). Gaza is in the land which was given to the tribe of Judah (Joshua 15:1-12), and one of Messiah's titles is "The Lion of the Tribe of Judah" (Revelation 5:5). God links the forsaking of Gaza to the coming 'Apocalypse,' which is also called 'The Day of God’s Wrath' and the 'Day of the Lord's Anger."

From these following passages in Zephaniah 2:1-7, God wants the children of Israel and ALL people on Earth to learn and know at least THREE (3) things . . .

1.  The Bible LINKS Gaza to the coming Apocalypse. GOD has issued a terrible warning and a 'plea' to the children of Israel and to ALL people on Earth ...

   "Gather yourselves together,

Yes, gather together O undesirable nation

(the nation who would willingly try to give God's land to her enemies)

     Before the decree is issued,

Before the day passes like chaff,

Before the Lord's fierce anger comes upon you,

Before the day of the Lord's anger comes upon you!

Seek the Lord, all you meek of the Earth

who have upheld His justice   (meaning ... this warning is also for everybody on Earth!)

     Seek righteousness,

     Seek humility.

It may be that you will be hidden   (The coming Rapture)

In the day of the Lord's anger."    (The coming 'Apocalypse' ... the 'Day of the Lord's Wrath')

   (Zephaniah 2:1-7)

2.  GOD wants all in Israel and on Earth to know what will help trigger this fierce and terrible anger:  Gaza!!   He warns, 'Gaza will be forsaken'... her inhabitants (the children of Israel) 'uprooted' and 'driven out' . . .

   "For Gaza shall be forsaken,

     And Ashkelon desolate;

They shall drive out Ashdod at noonday,

     And Ekron shall be uprooted.

Woe to the inhabitants of the seacoast,

     The nation of the Cherethites!

The word of the Lord is against you,

O Canaan, land of the Philistines (Palestinians):

   "I [God] will destroy you

So there shall be no inhabitant."  (All 'Palestinians' and their allies should take note ...)

     (Zephaniah 2:1-7)

Some import things to consider as we study these Bible prophecies and watch the news ...

-  Hamas is directed, trained, and equipped by Russia and Iran.

-  If you do your homework you will find Israel discovered Russian Spetsnaz (special operations) forces infiltrated Gaza soon after Israel pulled out several years ago.

-  You will also find banks of Hamas tele-marketers made calls to America from Gaza to campaign for Obama during an early Presidential campaign.

- "Hamas" in the days of Noah. Jesus warned the generation of the coming ‘Apocalypse’ would be "as the days of Noah"...

"But as the days of Noah were,

     so also will the coming

of the Son of Man be ..."

     (Matthew 24:37)

To help us understand this prophecy God describes the generation of Noah as morally corrupt and "filled with violence." The Hebrew word translated "violence" in this passage was "HAMAS!!"

   "The Earth was corrupt

(like smelly, rotting meat ... immoral)

     before God,

     and the Earth was filled

     with violence ("hamas!")

(the Hebrew word for violence was ‘hamas’).

So God looked upon the Earth,

     and indeed it was corrupt;

     for all flesh had corrupted

     their way on the Earth.

     And God said to Noah,

   "The end of all flesh

     has come before Me,

     for the Earth is filled

     with violence (‘hamas’)

     through them;

     and behold,

     I will destroy them

with the Earth.’"   (Only 8 people on Earth were saved ...)

     (Genesis 6:11-13)

ALL people on Earth should be sitting on the edge of their seats with white knuckles watching this terrible prophecy slowly start to unfold.

3.  GOD also wants all to know there is Hope.  He promises hope for all those who will wait in faith and trust in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) ... for one-day in the future, after the coming 'Apocalypse' ... the 'Day of God's Wrath' ... the terrible coming 'Day of the Lord' a remnant of the tribe of Judah will once again peacefully inhabit and prosper in that precious land God promised and gave to them ... and then, and only then, will there be 'peace on Earth.'   For at that time, our Messiah and God will restore all the Earth in peace and beauty ... as promised.

 "The seacoast shall be pastures,

With shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks.

   The coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah;

   They (the remnant of the house of Judah) shall feed there flocks there (coastlands of Gaza);

In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening.

The the Lord their God will intervene for them,

   And return their captives."

   (Zephaniah 2:1-7)

The coming Apocalypse and Armageddon ...

As noted earlier, the Bible links Gaza to the coming ‘Apocalypse’ which is also called the Day of the Lord’s Fierce Anger, or the Day of God’s Wrath, when ALL nations will turn against Israel. God warns His land and His people Israel will be divided. The fulfillment of this prophetic division began when the children of Israel forsook Gaza (and Judah) as it willingly gave Gaza to her enemies!!

   "In those days

     and at that time,

     When I (God)

     bring back the captives

     of Judah and Jerusalem,

     (this will happen after 1948)

I will also gather ALL nations,

     And bring them down to

     the Valley of Jehoshaphat;

     (outside Jerusalem ... 2 Chronicles 20:1-30)

And I (God) will enter into judgment

     with them there

     On account of My people,

     My heritage Israel,

     Whom they have scattered

     among the nations;

     They have also DIVIDED

     up My Land."

     (Israel will be divided)

     (Joel 3:1-2)

   "And I saw three

     unclean spirits like frogs

     coming out of the mouth

     of the Dragon, (Satan)

out of the mouth of the Beast (Antichrist),

     and out of the mouth

     of the False Prophet

(the second Beast - a religious leader).

For they are spirits of demons,

     performing signs (miracles),

which go out to the kings of the

Earth and of the whole world,

to gather them to the battle

of that great Day of God Almighty ...

     And they gathered them together

to the place called in Hebrew,

     Armageddon."

     (Revelation 16:12-16)

The weapons will be used. Much of the world will be destroyed. Cities will disappear. Armageddon means the "Hill of Megiddo." Megiddo is part of the Plain of Esdraelon which is located in central Israel. Napoleon came through there and declared it to be the finest battlefield in the world. The whole world will be drawn into this war over Israel and Jerusalem. No nation will be spared. The Bible warns there will be three deadly waves associated with this conflict, including: A Russian lead invasion of Israel, a massive Chinese invasion of the Middle East, which will then be "joined" as the armies of the Antichrist march from all around the world to the place called "Armageddon." Jesus will return to engage this final battle Himself. He alone will destroy the enemies of Israel. We don’t know the time between events. We do know that God has set aside seven years to complete His plan with Israel, and this Age ...

   "For I (God)

     will gather ALL the nations

     to battle against Jerusalem,

the city (Jerusalem) shall be taken,

     the houses rifled, and

     the women ravished (brutally raped).

     Half of the city (Jerusalem)

     shall go into captivity,

but the remnant of the people

shall not be cut off from the city."

     (Zechariah 14:2)

"Thus says the LORD of Armies (Hosts):

     BEHOLD!

Disaster shall go forth from nation to nation ...

And at that Day the slain of the LORD

shall be from one end of the Earth

even to the other end of the Earth ..."

(Nobody will escape God's wrath after the 'Rapture')

     (Jeremiah 25:27-38)

"And it shall come to pass

     in all the Land (Israel),

     says the Lord,

     That two-thirds of it

shall be cut off and die,

but one-third shall be left in it:

(only 1/3 survive - fewer in the world)

     I will bring the one-third

     through the fire,

will refine them as gold is tested.

They will call on My Name,

     and I will answer them.

     I will say, 'This is My people';

     and each one will say,

    'the LORD is my God.'"

     (Zechariah 13:8-9)

   "Alas!

     for that Day is great,

so that none is like it:

     it is even the

     time of Jacob's (Israel’s) Trouble,

but he shall be saved out of it."

     (Jeremiah 30:7)

"At that time Michael (the Archangel)

     shall stand up,

     the great prince

     who stands watch over

     the sons of your people (Israel);

     and there shall be

     a time of Trouble (Tribulation),

     such as never was

     since there was a nation"

     (Daniel 12:1)

   "For there will be

     Great Tribulation (Trouble)

     such has not been since

     the beginning of the world

     until this time

     no, nor ever shall be.

     And UNLESS

     those days were shortened

NO flesh (living thing on Earth)

     would be saved"

     (Matthew 24:21-22)

Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) warns NEVER in the history of Mankind has there ever been (or ever will be) anything as terrible and deadly as the coming "Apocalypse"... only a small remnant of the world will survive after the coming Antichrist commits "the abomination of desolations" when he will stand in a new Jewish Temple and demand to be worshiped above all that is called "god" ...

The coming Rapture ...

The Scriptures tell us Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return ... twice:

First, "As a thief in the night" for all believers

Second, "Every eye shall see" with all believers

We find the Rapture is somewhat analogous to a loving Bridegroom yanking His young wife ('betrothed') off the railroad tracks just as the train goes thundering by. Prophet after prophet in the Bible warns of a very specific period of time referred to by many names, including the "Day of the Lord’s Wrath (fierce anger)," the "Great Tribulation" or the "Apocalypse" (which actually refers to the Revelation or "revealing"), when God is going to pour out His wrath on a violent, immoral, arrogant, and unbelieving world. We are told those who believe in His Son and wait in faith are not appointed to this time of God’s wrath ...

"And to wait for His Son from Heaven,

whom He raised from the dead,

     even Jesus, who delivers us

     from the Wrath to come."

     (1 Thessalonians 1:10)

"For God did NOT appoint us to wrath,

but to obtain salvation through our Lord

Jesus Christ, who died for us,

that whether we wake or sleep,

we should live together with Him.

     Therefore comfort each other

     and edify one another,

just as you also are doing."

     (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11)

The actual word "rapture" is not found in most Bibles. The Greek word which was translated "caught up" in the English, was translated in the Latin as "rapturo." So, the term "rapture" comes from a Latin translation. In fact the Greek word actually used, which was translated in the King James version as "caught up" (1 Thessalonians 4:17), is "harpazo" which easily could have been, or should have been translated, "to seize, to pluck away, or to take by force."

The view presented in this book supports the belief that this generation is the generation of the Rapture and a worldwide body of faithful believers will be removed suddenly before the "Day of the Lord’s Wrath" (the coming Apocalypse), and since it appears the time draws near, it is worth the time to look at a few of the verses found in the Bible which directly, or indirectly refer to this strange, forceful, prophetic event which we simply call the Rapture ... (for a more complete study read Prophecies of the Rapture study.)

"Behold, I tell you a mystery:

     We shall not all sleep,

but we shall all be changed--

     in a moment,

in the twinkling of an eye"

     (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

   "For the Lord Himself

     will descend from Heaven

     with a shout,

with the voice of an archangel, and

     with the trumpet of God.

And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive and remain

shall be caught up (raptured) together

     with them in the clouds

to meet the Lord in the air.

     And thus we shall always

     be with the Lord."

     (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

   "Because you have kept

     My command to persevere,

I also will keep you from the hour of trial

which shall come upon the whole world,

to test those who dwell on the Earth."

     "Behold, I come quickly!" (Suddenly)

     (Revelation 3:10-11)

   "Gather yourselves together,

Yes, gather together O undesirable nation

(the nation who would willingly try to give God's land to her enemies)

     Before the decree is issued,

Before the day passes like chaff,

Before the Lord's fierce anger comes upon you,

Before the day of the Lord's anger comes upon you!

Seek the Lord, all you meek of the Earth

who have upheld His justice   (meaning ... this warning is also for everybody on Earth!)

     Seek righteousness,

     Seek humility.

It may be that you will be hidden

In the day of the Lord's anger."

     (Zephaniah 2:1-7)

"But of that day and hour no one knows,

no, not even the angels of Heaven,

     but My Father only."

     (Matthew 24:36)

"Then two men will be in the field:

one will be taken and the other left.

Two women will be grinding at the mill:

one will be taken and the other left."

   "Watch therefore,

     for you do not know

what hour your Lord is coming."

     (Matthew 24:40-42)

   "Therefore you also be ready,

for the Son of Man is coming

at an hour you do not expect."

     (Luke 12:40)

   "But concerning the times

     and the seasons, brethren,

     you have no need

that I should write to you.

     For you yourselves know perfectly

that the Day of the Lord

so comes as a thief in the night."

     (1 Thessalonians 5:1-2)

When will the Rapture take place?

We do not know, and we are told that no man will ever know the day or the hour. However, there doesn’t appear to be anything left in prophecy that needs to be fulfilled before the Rapture can take place, so, it could easily happen any day ...

The Lord says it could happen at any moment, "in the twinkling of an eye." He says it will happen at a time when the world will least expect it. We are told we should always be prepared by simply believing in Him and waiting for Him in faith. We are taught we should help prepare others.

After the Rapture . . . the door will then close.

Messiah's Return ...

As noted above in these prophecies of Gaza, God ALSO wants all to know there is Hope. He promises hope for all those who will wait in faith and trust in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) ... for one-day in the future, after Gaza will be forsaken, and after the coming 'Apocalypse' (the 'Day of God's Wrath'') the Messiah of Israel, Jesus Christ, will return at the very end of the coming ‘Apocalypse’ to save the remnant of Israel from the armies of the world which will one day gather against her. He will then rule and reign over Israel ... and over ALL nations of the World.

At that time a remnant of the tribe of Judah will once again peacefully inhabit and prosper in that precious land God promised and gave to them ... and then, and only then, will there be 'peace on Earth.' For at that time, God will restore Israel and all the Earth in peace and beauty ... as promised.

The Scriptures tell us Messiah, Jesus Christ, will return ... twice:

First, "As a thief in the night" for all believers

Second, "Every eye shall see" with all believers

Jesus says when He returns to rule on Earth there will be no question it is Him. When He again steps forth from Eternity every eye will see Him "coming in the clouds" with millions from Heaven, in power and great glory ...

   "Behold,

He is coming with clouds, and

     EVERY eye will see Him,

     even they who pierced Him.

And all the tribes of the Earth

will mourn because of Him ..."

     (Revelation 1:7)

   "Now Enoch,

     the seventh from Adam,

(the first person "raptured" in the Bible)

also prophesied about these men, saying,

    ‘Behold, the Lord comes with

ten thousands (millions) of His saints,

     to execute judgment on all,

to convict all who are ungodly among them

     of all their ungodly deeds

     which they have committed

     in an ungodly way,

and of all the harsh things

     which ungodly sinners

     have spoken against Him.’"

     (Jude 1:14-15)

   "For behold,

     the LORD will come

with fire and with His chariots,

     like a whirlwind

     (a global hurricane of fire),

to render His anger with fury,

and His rebuke with flames of fire.

For by fire and by His sword

     the LORD will judge all flesh;

and the slain of the LORD

     shall be many."

     (Isaiah 66:15-16)

   "I was watching

     in the night visions,

     and behold,

One like the Son of Man, (Jesus)

coming with the clouds of Heaven!

He came to the Ancient of Days,

     and they brought Him

     near before Him.

Then to Him was given dominion

     and glory and a Kingdom,

that all peoples, nations, and languages

     should serve Him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion,

which shall not pass away, and

     His Kingdom the one

     which shall not be destroyed."

     (Daniel 7:13-14)

   "The Earth is violently broken,

(Earth will reel under the power of His return)

     the Earth is split open,

     the Earth is shaken exceedingly.

The Earth shall reel to and fro

     like a drunkard,

     and shall totter like a hut;

its transgression shall be heavy upon it,

     and it will fall,

     and not rise again."

     (Isaiah 24:19-20)

   "And in that Day

     His feet will stand

     on the Mount of Olives,

which faces Jerusalem on the east.

     And the Mount of Olives

     shall be split in two,

     from east to west ...

It shall come to pass in that Day

     that there will be no light;

     the lights will diminish.

     It shall be one day

which is known to the LORD--

     neither day nor night.

     But at evening (night) time

it shall happen that it will be light."

     (Awesome!!!)

     (Zechariah 14:4, 6, 7)

"Now it shall come to pass

     in the latter days ...

He shall judge between the nations,

     and rebuke many people;

they shall beat their swords into plowshares,

     and their spears into pruning hooks;

nation shall not lift up sword against nation,

neither shall they learn war anymore."

     (Isaiah 2:2,4)

   "At that time Jerusalem

(the same Jerusalem you see on the news)

shall be called the Throne of the LORD,

and all the nations shall be gathered to it,

to the Name of the LORD, to Jerusalem.

     No more shall they follow

the dictates of their evil hearts."

     (Jeremiah 3:17)

   "He will be great,

     and will be called

     the Son of the Highest;

and the Lord God will give Him

the throne of His father David.

     And He will reign

over the house of Jacob forever,

     and of His Kingdom

     there will be no end."

     (Luke 1:32-33)

   "From Jesus Christ,

     the faithful witness,

     the firstborn from the dead,

     (speaking of His Resurrection)

     and the Ruler over

     the kings of the Earth.

     To Him who loved us

and washed us from our sins

     in His own blood,

and has made us kings and priests

     to His God and Father,

to Him be glory and dominion

     forever and ever. Amen.

Behold, He is coming with clouds,

and every eye will see Him,

     even they who pierced Him.

(not as a "thief in the night" this time)

And all the tribes of the Earth

    will mourn because of Him.

     Even so, Amen."

     (Revelation 1:5-7)

He will return with millions and millions of those who believed and waited in faith ...

"And they sang a new song, saying:

    ‘You (Jesus) are worthy

     to take the Scroll,

     and to open its seals;

     for You were slain,

     and have redeemed us

     to God by Your blood

out of every tribe and tongue

     and people and nation,

     And have made us

     kings and priests to our God;

and we shall reign on the Earth.’

     Then I looked,

     and I heard the voice

of many angels around the throne,

     the living creatures, and the elders;

and the number of them was

     ten thousand times ten thousand,

     and thousands of thousands,

(millions upon millions of faithful believers)

     saying with a loud voice:

‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slain

     to receive power and riches

     and wisdom, and strength

     and honor and glory

     and blessing!’"

     (Revelation 5:9-12)

Awesome ...

   "Now I saw Heaven opened,

     and behold, a white horse.

And He who sat on him

     was called Faithful and True,

     and in righteousness

     He judges and makes war.

His eyes were like a flame of fire,

and on His head were many crowns.

     He had a Name written

that no one knew except Himself.

He was clothed with a robe

     dipped in blood,

     and His Name is called

     The Word of God.

     And the armies in Heaven,

clothed in fine linen, white and clean,

     followed Him on white horses.

     Now out of His mouth

     goes a sharp sword,

that with it He should strike the nations.

And He Himself will rule them

     with a rod of iron.

     He Himself treads the winepress

     of the fierceness and wrath

     of Almighty God.

And He has on His robe

     and on His thigh

     a Name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

     (Revelation 19:11-16)

Then, at that time, God will restore the land of Judah, and ALL the Earth in peace and beauty ... as promised.

   "The seacoast shall be pastures,

     With shelters for shepherds

     and folds for flocks.

The coast shall be for the remnant

     of the house of Judah;

They (the remnant of the house of Judah)

     shall feed there flocks there

     (in the coastlands of Gaza);

     In the houses of Ashkelon

they shall lie down at evening.

     The Lord their God

     will intervene for them,

     And return their captives."

     (Zephaniah 2:1-7)

The Holy Spirit has spoken to us in prophecy as a true and faithful witness.

Please Remember . . .

The Kingdom of Heaven is available to every man, woman, boy, and girl in this world, no matter who they are, where they live, or what they have done. It is freely offered to any and all who will receive it. Simply learn of Jesus, the promised Messiah, believe He willingly and lovingly died on the Cross for all of your sins and was raised from the grave the third day and is now seated on His Throne in the Kingdom of Heaven waiting patiently while the good news (Gospel) is spread around the world to every tongue, tribe, and nation. Learn of Him and believe in Him ... for He was the only one who has ever loved you enough to substitute Himself for you on the Cross (which represents the suffering that will be found in Hell). He shed His blood, suffered, and died on the Cross to save you from your sins and from the utter darkness, aloneness, and torment of Hell, if you will accept it, believe it, and trust in it. This is why Jesus is called Savior … His Name in Hebrew means "Savior." He now lovingly and graciously offers you life in Heaven, and we are warned it is a ‘take it or leave it’ proposition. We have to consciously receive it and accept it in faith. If you sincerely admit you have sinned (and need a Savior to get into Heaven) and ask Jesus (Yeshua) to come into your life while fully trusting in Him alone to save you from your sins ... and turn back to God while trying to stop doing (and saying) those things God says are wrong, you will go to Heaven ... and with open arms and tears of joy He will receive all who will come to Him in faith and in love ... it's God's promise!!!

The only unpardonable sin is to reject or ignore God's love and His gift of eternal life in Heaven by rejecting His Son (see Psalm 2) ... Jesus Christ... who stepped forth from Eternity ("from of old, from everlasting"... see Micah 5:2) ... not to condemn the sinner, but to save the sinner (from Hell) and who willingly and lovingly shed His blood and bore all of our sins and guilt on the Cross so we can be "washed clean" and forgiven of all our sins, and then clothed in His perfect Righteousness, which makes us acceptable before God and allows us to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus greatly LOVED us to save us from Hell ...

All God asks is we love Him for all He has done for us.
