Eight Timely Bible Prophecies
"Surely, the Lord GOD does nothing
unless He reveals His secret
to His servants the prophets . . ."

"For I am God, and there is no other.
I am God, and there is none like Me,
Declaring the end from the beginning,
and from ancient times
things that are not yet done . . ."
(Isaiah 46:9-10)
1. The First Prophecy Found In The Bible . . .
(Prophecies of Messiah from the ancient Jewish Scriptures ...)
The first prophecy found in the Bible is spoken by God to Adam, Eve, and Satan in the Garden of Eden. This first prophecy is a prophecy of the Messiah. It also sets the stage for Satan’s hatred against Mankind ... and especially against the Jews because they would bring forth Messiah and will be instrumental in His Return (which we are told will end Satan's rule) ...
"I will put enmity (hatred)
between you (Satan) and the woman (Eve),
And between your seed and her Seed (the Christ ... Messiah);
He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel."
(Genesis 3:15)
(As a note, this is why the genealogy of Jesus (Yeshua) through Mary (Miriam) ... Luke 3:21-38 ... is taken all the way back to Adam)
In this prophecy we are told the seed of the woman, the Messiah (the Christ), would have his heel bruised. If you study the physical trauma associated with Crucifixion, you soon find it was designed to cause extreme pain and torment before death. The word "excruciating" comes from the root word "crucify." Crucifixion was a cruel, slow, agonizing, and tortuous form of execution designed to kill through slow suffocation ...
The shoulders of the person being crucified would dislocate and separate. The only way the person nailed to the Cross could breathe (or speak) would be to gather as much strength as they could and try to stand up on the nail or the spike that had been driven through their feet. The feet were severely bent forward and pressed together in order to nail them to the Cross. When the feet were nailed securely to the Cross, one heel would be pressed tightly against the wood of the Cross. So, in order to breathe or to speak, the person nailed to the Cross had to put all of their weight on the heel and the large spike that had been driven through the feet in order to stand up far enough to gasp for breath. This incredibly tortuous process would painfully bruise that heel ...
Also, we are told that Jesus (Yeshua) was scourged by the Romans before He was crucified. These "stripes" He took on His back were another form of cruel punishment derived by the powers of the day. The Roman "whip" used for scourging was small with pieces of metal and bone attached. The prisoner’s back was stretched tight as He, in this case, Jesus, was tied to a post. The Roman whip was designed to dig into the skin of the back and then tear the skin away from the bone. By the time Jesus (Yeshua) was crucified the skin of His back that had been torn from the "stripes" would have been hanging loosely off of the bone like a tattered cloth ...
Take a moment to consider the amount of pain shooting through the body of Messiah (Christ) as He struggled with dry, parched lips and gasping for breath to stand up by pressing down on that heel which was nailed to the Cross, causing His tattered back with its exposed bone to rub against the roughly hewn wood of His Cross in order to clearly speak those words . . .
"Father forgive them,
for they know not what they do."
(Luke 23:34)
Note to Christians: It is wrong and a blasphemy against God and Jesus to ever blame the Jews for Jesus’ death. As one pastor put it, "If you are going to blame anybody blame me, for it was because of my sins that the Messiah stepped forth from Eternity ("from Everlasting"... see Micah 5:2) and took on the form (or "likeness") of Man, as the "Son of Man"... the "Son of God," to suffer and die.
From the ancient Jewish Scriptures (Tanakh - Old Testament) ...
"But He (Messiah) was wounded for OUR transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
and by HIS stripes (whip lashes) we are healed.
and the LORD has laid on HIM the sin (iniquity) of us all."
(Isaiah 53:5-7)
Messiah would be RESURRECTED (raised from the dead) . . .
"For You (God) will not leave my soul in Sheol (Hell), (King David knew there is a Heaven and a Hell)
NOR will You allow Your Holy One (Messiah!!!)
to see corruption (decompose)." (King David also knew Messiah would be Resurrected)
(Psalm 16:10)
2. Moses And The "Serpent on the Pole". . .

"So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people,
and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died.
Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, ‘We have SINNED,
for we have spoken against the LORD and against you;
pray to the LORD that He take away the serpents from us.’
So Moses prayed for the people.
Then the LORD said to Moses,
‘Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole;
and it shall be that EVERYONE who is bitten,
when he LOOKS at it, shall live.’
So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole;
and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone,
when he LOOKED at the bronze serpent, he LIVED."
(Numbers 21:6-9)
In the Bible, the serpent is used as a symbol for "sin," and bronze a symbol of "judgment," because bronze could withstand the fire. We find in this verse that once the people acknowledged their sin, they only needed to look upon the serpent on the pole to be healed and saved.
We are told Jesus (Yeshua) "became" sin for us, like that "fiery serpent" on the pole . . .
"For He (God) made Him who knew no sin (Messiah on the Cross)
to BE sin FOR us,
that we might become
the righteousness of God in Him."
(2 Corinthians 5:21)
Jesus (Yeshua) even POINTS to this prophetic model of the Serpent on the Pole . . .
And Jesus (Yeshua) said,
"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
that whoever believes in Him should NOT perish (in Hell)
but have eternal life (in Heaven)."
(John 3:14-17)
So, as all who looked upon the fiery serpent in the wilderness were saved from their sins and from death, so also will all who believe and sincerely trust in Messiah (Jesus ... Yeshua) on the Cross be saved from their sins and from death (in Hell) . . .
The Promise of the Cross is available to everybody. The offer is extended to all. The early church included all - Jew, Roman, Ethiopian, Greek, rich and poor, men and women, centurion and rabbi, together, as one. They saw . . . they heard . . . they believed!
It is interesting that after hearing the story of the serpent in the wilderness, the ancient Greeks adopted this sign of the serpent on the pole as their symbol for healing. The symbol is still used by our medical profession. You might note there is only one serpent on this ancient symbol, not two.
The Cross was GOD’s Plan ... so all who trust (believe) in Messiah as their Savior and Lord can be washed clean of all their sins through His innocent blood ... and have the hope and promise of life in Heaven (while being saved from the darkness, aloneness, and torment of Hell) ...
"Yet it was the Lord’s good plan to bruise him;
put Him to grief,
make His (Messiah's) soul an offering for sin . . ."

"He (God) will set up a banner for the nations,
and will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
and gather together the dispersed of Judah
from the four corners of the Earth."

"Thus says the Lord GOD:
‘Surely I will take the children of Israel
from among the nations, ("nations" plural ... not the Babylonian exile)
wherever they have gone,
and will gather them from every side
and bring them into their own Land;’"

"And you, son of man,
PROPHESY to the mountains of Israel,
and say, ‘O mountains of Israel,
hear the Word of the LORD ...’"
"But you, O mountains of Israel,
you shall shoot forth your branches
and yield your fruit to My people Israel,
for they are about to come . . ."
"For I will take you (the children of Israel) from among the nations,
GATHER you out of all countries,
and bring you into YOUR own Land (Israel!!!)."
(Ezekiel 36:1, 8, 24)
God sends an ominous warning to the generation which witnesses the re-gathering of Israel in the Land . . .
Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) warns,
"Now LEARN this parable from the fig tree (Israel):"
"WHEN its branch has already become tender (Like a tree in winter ... Israel looked dead for 2500 years)
and puts forth leaves, (Israel re-gathering in their land ... "you shall shoot forth your branches" )
you KNOW that summer is near.
Also, when you SEE all these things,
know that it is NEAR -- at the doors! ("The Day of the Lord"... the coming "Apocalypse" and Armageddon)
Assuredly, I say to you,
this generation will by no means pass away
UNTIL all these things take place." (The Rapture ... the "Apocalypse"... Armageddon ... Messiah's Return)

Q. Well, isn’t that generation alive today?
A. I think so. (But don't believe me ... search the Scriptures to see if these things are true.)
Q. How long is a generation?
A. I really don’t know, but God answers most questions.
Let’s look at a couple of verses from Psalm 90 (which is provocative in that it is the only Psalm written by Moses and seems to come out of nowhere) . . .
"The days of our lives are SEVENTY years;
And if by reason of strength they are eighty years . . .
who knows the power of Your (God's) ANGER?"
(The "Apocalypse" is also called "The Day of (God's) Fierce Anger"...("Wrath")
(Psalm 90:10,11) (The average life span in the world has now risen to 69+ years ... 80 years in Israel)
Is then the fullness of a generation 70 - 80 years? Did a prophetic countdown start with the Nation in 1948, or when Israel regained control over their capital city of Jerusalem in 1967? We don’t know.
We are simply warned to "Watch!" The Bible gives us many warning signs so we will know when we are getting close. Yet, we will never know "the day nor the hour." However, this generation which now mocks God and His Word will someday soon know "the power of His anger" . . .
What ARE a few of the other "signs" the Bible warns will mark "the generation" of the coming "Apocalypse"?
+ Israel back in her Land again as a nation
+ Iran and allies threatening war against Israel
+ Russia rising as a powerful military threat ... and acting as a "guard" for Iran
+ China and allies armed with weapons capable of quickly destroying 1/3 of mankind
+ 'Weak mixed with strong' nations of the Roman Empire reuniting and rising in power (Europe?)
+ Teachings of 'false Prophets' deceiving and leading many
+ A Generation which is 'marked' by being "morally corrupt" and "filled with violence"
(The Bible uses the word 'corrupt' - like smelly, rotting meat)
+ "The falling away"... churches and synagogues no longer teaching or "enduring" sound doctrine
+ Israel and Jerusalem . . . trouble, troubles, and more trouble
+ ALL nations turning against nation Israel . . .
= The Generation of the Rapture ... the Apocalypse ... Armageddon ... and Messiah's Return.

5. The Coming "Rapture". . .

"And to wait for His Son from Heaven,
whom He (God) raised from the dead, even Jesus (Yeshua),
who DELIVERS us
FROM the wrath to come."
(1 Thessalonians 1:10)
"For God did NOT appoint us to wrath,
but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (Messiah),
who died FOR us,
that whether we wake or sleep,
we should live together with Him (in Heaven).
Therefore comfort each other and edify one another,
just as you also are doing."
(1 Thessalonians 5:9-11)
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: (a "mystery" is something that had not yet been revealed)
We shall not all sleep, (die a bodily death ... the "first" death)
but we SHALL all be changed
in a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye"

Blood and fire and pillars of smoke?
It is interesting to note that those nations which are now armed with large arsenals of nuclear weapons have already built and are continuing to build massive "emergency command centers" into and under mountains to hide their leaders in case of all out nuclear war . . .
"And the stars of heaven fell to the Earth,
as a fig tree drops its late figs
when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up,
and every mountain and island was moved out of its place
And the kings of the Earth, the great men, the rich men,
the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man,
hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains"

After the nuclear bomb tests in the Pacific, the Navy discovered much of the massive damage to the target fleet was caused by giant hail stones which were generated by the nuclear blasts. If the nuclear blasts had been over a large city, much blood would have been drawn up into the cloud and mingled with the hail . . .
"The first angel sounded:
And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood,
and they were thrown to the Earth.
And a third of the trees were burned up,
and all green grass was burned up."

In old Russian Bibles the word "Wormwood" was translated "CHERNOBYL"!
"Then the third angel sounded:
And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch,
and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water;
And the name of the star is Wormwood (bitter).
a third of the waters became wormwood,
and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter."
(Revelation 8:10-11)
Jesus (Messiah) warns ...
"For then there will be Great Tribulation, (the coming "Apocalypse")
such as has not been
since the beginning of the world until this time,
no, nor ever shall be.
And UNLESS those days were shortened,
NO flesh (people) would be saved;
but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened."
(Matthew 24:21-22)
Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) warns NEVER in the history of Mankind has there ever been (or ever will be) anything as terrible and as deadly as the coming "Apocalypse" ... only a small remnant of the world will survive.
7. Messiah's Return . . .

"Behold,
the Lord comes with ten thousands (millions) of His saints,
to execute judgment on all,
to convict all who are ungodly among them
of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way,
and of all the harsh things
which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.’"
(Jude 1:14-15)
"For behold, the LORD will come with fire and with His chariots,
like a whirlwind (a global hurricane of fire),
to render His anger with fury,
and His rebuke with flames of fire.
For by fire and by His sword the LORD will judge all flesh;
and the slain of the LORD shall be many."
(Isaiah 66:15-16)
"Thus says the LORD of Hosts (armies):
Behold, disaster shall go forth from nation to nation ...
And at that Day the slain of the LORD
shall be from one end of the Earth
even to the other end of the Earth . . ." (Nobody will escape God's wrath after the coming 'Rapture')
(Jeremiah 25:27-38)
"And I will pour on the house of David
and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem
the Spirit of grace and supplication;
then they will look on Me whom they have pierced;
they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son,
and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn."

and will be called the Son of the Highest;
and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

He will return with millions and millions of those who believed and waited in faith . . .
"And they sang a new song, saying:
‘You (Jesus-Yeshua) are worthy to take the scroll,
and to open its seals;
for You were slain,
and have redeemed us to God by Your blood
out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
And have made us kings and priests to our God;
and we shall reign on the Earth.’
Then I looked,
and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne,
the living creatures, and the elders;
and the number of them was
ten thousand times ten thousand,
and thousands of thousands,
(these represent millions upon millions of faithful believers)
saying with a loud voice:
‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
to receive power and riches and wisdom,
and strength and honor and glory and blessing!’"
(Revelation 5:9-12)
Awesome . . .
"Now I saw Heaven opened,
and behold, a white horse.
And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
His eyes were like a flame of fire,
and on His head were many crowns.
He had a name written that no one knew except Himself.
He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood,
and His Name is called The Word of God.
And the armies in Heaven, clothed in fine linen,
white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword,
that with it He should strike the nations.
And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron.
He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness
and wrath of Almighty God.
And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

8. Heaven or . . .
The Bible tells us the Kingdom of Heaven will be filled with peace and beauty . . . and it tells us Heaven is where we will find our "rest" and our "peace"... forever and ever and evermore!!! The Bible says no human words can ever fully describe the awesome beauty, the grandeur, and the restful peace that awaits all those who will humbly and gratefully accept and receive God's gracious and loving offer to enter into and abide in His Eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
The Bible warns every person has a soul,
and every soul will be judged . . .
"And as it is appointed for men to die once, (""Men"... mankind ... men and women)
but, AFTER this the Judgment" (There is no reincarnation ... and no "Purgatory"... search the Scriptures)
(Hebrews 9:27)
The Bible warns there are two deaths . . .
The first death is the death of our earthly bodies (unless the Rapture happens first) ...
And the SECOND death is our soul being cast into Hell (which is the death we are told we should fear) . . .
"He that hath an ear, (that's everybody)
let him hear what the Holy Spirit says unto the churches;
He who overcomes (through faith in Jesus Christ ...Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew)
shall NOT be hurt
by the second death (Hell)." (Because we have been saved from our sins and from Hell)
(Revelation 2:11)
"Blessed and holy is he
that has part in the first resurrection: (for those will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven)
on such the second DEATH (Hell) has no power,
but they shall be priests of God and of Christ (Messiah),
and shall reign with
Him a thousand years."
(Revelation 20:6)
God’s loving offer contains BOTH "a BLESSING” and "a CURSE”. . .
"For God so loved the world
that He GAVE His only begotten Son,
that whoever BELIEVES (trusts) in Him (to trust in Jesus alone to save us from our sins and from Hell)
should NOT perish (in Hell)
but have everlasting life (in Heaven).
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved (into Heaven).
He who believes in Him is not condemned (to Hell);
but he who does NOT believe (in Jesus Christ)
IS CONDEMNED (to Hell) ALREADY" (The implications of this verse are staggering!)
(John 3:16-18)
"For by GRACE you have been saved (from the "second" death ... Hell)
through FAITH (in Jesus Christ),
and that not of yourselves;
it is the GIFT of God, ("Grace" is getting something we don’t deserve…we can't earn this gift)
NOT of works, (we cannot enter Heaven through any “good deeds” we have done)
lest ANYONE should boast." (It’s a gift from God … we just have to thankfully (and lovingly) receive it.)
(Ephesians 2:8)
"The Son of Man (Jesus) will send out His angels,
and they will gather out of His Kingdom
ALL things that offend,
and those who practice lawlessness (sinning willfully … without repentance or remorse),
and will cast them into the furnace of fire.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
(Matthew 13:41-42)
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world,
and is himself (his soul) destroyed or lost?
For whoever is ashamed of Me (Jesus Christ) and My words,
of him the Son of Man will be ashamed (on the day of Judgment) . . ."
(Luke 9:25-26)
"So it will be at the end of the Age.
The angels will come forth,
separate the wicked from among the just,
and cast them into the furnace of fire.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
(Matthew 13:49-50)
Please remember . . .
The Kingdom of Heaven is available to every man, woman, boy, and girl in this world, no matter who they are, where they live, or what they have done. It is freely offered to any and all who will receive it. Simply learn of Jesus (Yeshua), the promised Messiah, invite Him into your life as Lord, believe He died on the Cross for all of your sins and rose from the grave (proving there is a Kingdom of Heaven ... and a Hell). Learn of Him and believe in Him . . . for He was the only one who has ever loved you enough to substitute Himself for you on the Cross. He shed His blood, suffered, and died on the Cross to save you from your sins and from the utter darkness and torment of Hell, if you will accept it, believe it, and trust in it. That is why Jesus is called Savior. He now lovingly and graciously offers you life in Heaven (and we are warned it is a "take it or leave it" proposition.) We have to consciously receive it and accept it in faith. If you sincerely admit you have sinned (which means you will need a Savior to get into Heaven) and ask Jesus to come into your life and honestly try to stop doing (and saying) those things God says are wrong, you will go to Heaven ... and with open arms and tears of joy He will receive all who will come to Him in faith and in love ... It's God's Promise!!!
The only unpardonable sin is to reject God's love and His free offer of life in the Kingdom of Heaven by rejecting Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Mashiach in Hebrew) who stepped forth from Eternity ("from of old, from everlasting"... see Micah 5:2) ... not to condemn the sinner, but to save the sinner (from the torment of Hell) and who willingly and lovingly shed His blood on the Cross so we can be washed clean of all our sins. The Bible warns there will be no peace in our lives until we make peace with God through His Son, Jesus (Yeshua), the promised Messiah. The Bible also says there will be no peace in Israel or on Earth until Jesus (Yeshua), the Messiah returns . . . (The ASSURANCE of life in Heaven ... it's NOT too late!!!)
